This seemingly ‘dual aspect’ of approaches and interests gives me a very unique perspective to work through. I am as comfortable with the world and language of science as I am in Spirit.

What we are all about.

The Spirit Centre is the culmination of a lifetime well lived, lessons learned (usually the hard way!), deep, persistant self reflection and personal enquiry.

This obsession began very young; curiosity, the need to know and an uncanny knack of asking ‘the right’ questions, along with the loving, (and patient!) supportive environment of my grandparents home and it’s organic reach out into the natural world and woodland around it, gave me a profound and deep connection to Nature, the cycles and the deeper magics and mysteries within it.

So my natural inclinations were always towards the natural world and the energies, spirits and beings I found there, and although my understanding has grown and developed, my heart never wondered far from home.

Art, as well as writing, has been a lifelong passion and practice for me. It remains a foundational way of being in the world for me, an extension of my deep learning, leading me to develope specific practices and skills that have evolved into very profound experiences within themselves.

Initially drawn to paganism and wicca as a way to try and deepen my understanding and experience, I soon found my way around many different religions, belief systems, spiritual concepts and a wide variety of teachings. I learned a lot, I enjoy learning, but what I didn’t find was something that fitted me and my experience, or something I could fit into. I realised that I am a natural ecclectic, I ‘collect’ things that resonate with me, and I incorporate them into me and my way of being, and it enriches both my understanding and my experience.

Now, this can be very hard to explain to people sometimes, especially when they like to shove you into convenient little boxes with labels, so they can judge and pidgeon hole you. I am very happy to report I am boxless and will always remain unboxable! What I realised from all my studies was that it was not the idiosyncracies, details or unique concepts of belief systems that I was interested in, but the underlying, unifying principles. To me they are all peices in a humanity wide puzzle, each has a little to offer, but no one of them has the whole.

Along with my continued studies and curiosity, I extended myself into the world of psychology as another avenue to explore, and I became a Registered Mental Health Nurse and am still a practicing nurse 30 years on.

This seemingly ‘dual aspect’ of approaches and interests gives me a very unique perspective to work through. I am as comfortable with the world and language of science as I am in Spirit.

The culmination of this lifetime of learning and searching all fell into place when I finally found my way to Non Duality and shamanism. I was able to ‘see’ and understand the bigger picture I was missing, using a blend of the tools I learned during my shamanic training and the insights gained through experiential meditations. These were the keys I was missing, they are different for all of us, our journeys are as unique as we are, but the ultimate destination is always the same.

So this is where The Spirit Centre was born from! My mission remains the same; to keep learning, to adapt and improve myself with what I learn, to forever celebrate and deepen within me that connection I have known since being a child. But now it has grown beyond me, now I am called to share what I have learned over the past 45 years, to help others to recognise this connection to their source, whatever you call or conceptualise it as, then reignite communication! There are many ways this can be acheived, I use a variety myself, depending on my mood and need, and now they are available to you too.

So, this is who I am and what I do. I hope you found this helpful and maybe a little inspiring!
